The Power of Play
Play is an essential component of life. When we watch young children at play we witness the many unique ways that knowledge is constructed through creative, inventive and collaborative engagement.
Understanding the value of play in the learning process honors children as active agents of their own learning, as builders of relationships and as authentic meaning-makers. Exploring deeper understandings of play also provides fertile growth for our own learning about children, childhood and education.
This webinar will consider different perspectives of play across the realm of early childhood (0-8 years of age), honouring play as a source of deep and rigorous learning for children and educators.
