Webinar Speakers

Kate Levasseur (Local Historian )
Kate Levasseur is a local historian who is a fifth generation Des Moines native and her love of history started at home as a child. While a history student at Drake University, she completed two internships in museum education and collections. These internships sparked an interest in educating people about history through storytelling and historic objects. Her interest in Victorian Des Moines came about while working as a historical interpreter at Living History Farms in Urbandale. Kate currently manages a museum in Des Moines and enjoys learning more about local history whenever she can.
