Richard Banks

Richard specialises in Middle East business development for financial institutions and corporates. He is a partner at Soling Partners LLC, a boutique advisory firm advising clients on their Middle East business development and capital raising strategies. He currently advises a group of blue-chip global asset managers with more than US$ 2trn of assets under management He is also a Non-Executive Director of Lincoln College International – a UK company with substantial investments in the GCC education sector - and a Strategic Adviser to M7 Real Estate Investment. After graduating from Oxford University with a degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics, Richard worked with a number of companies before joining Euromoney Institutional Investor in 1995. He specialised in the Middle East from 2002 establishing a joint venture with Euromoney, developing their regional business. Richard stepped back from leading the joint venture in early 2016 and he remains a senior adviser to Euromoney.
Faisal Al-Sharif
Director General, Financial Sector Development Program @Ministry of Finance, Saudi Arabia
Faisal Al-Sharif is the director general of the Financial Sector Development Program (FSDP), one of the 13 executive programmes launched by the Council of Economic and Development Affairs (CEDA) to achieve the objectives of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. As director general, Al-Sharif plays a key role in the creation of a diversified and effective financial sector to support the development of the Kingdom’s national economy. He holds a bachelors degree in financial management from Long Beach State University in California, US. Al-Sharif is an ACI certificate holder, which a globally recognised certificate that attests to the holder’s mastery of the fundamental instruments and structures of a modern treasury. Before joining the FSDP, Al-Sharif worked at Deutsche Bank. He began his career in the bank as vice president of the financing and solutions Group (FSG) and went on to become head of derivative solutions.
H.E. Dr Fahad Aldossari
Deputy for Research & International Affairs @Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA)
H.E. Dr Fahad Aldossari is currently the Deputy Governor for Research and International Affairs at the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA). Dr Aldossari has been working at SAMA since 1999. He started as an economic researcher and was promoted to the head of money and banking division at the research and statistics department in 2009. From 2010 to 2013, he occupied the positions of the director general of research and statistics department, the director of economic research department and the director of international affairs department. From 2013 to 2017, Dr Aldossari was the director general of the Institute of Finance (formerly known as the Institute of Banking). From 2016 to 2019, Dr Aldossari was holding the position of the Deputy Governor for Administration. Dr Aldossari is currently the vice chairman of board of trustees at the Financial Academy, chairman of Nomination and Compensation Committee and a member of the Professional Competencies and Certifications Committee.
