Layer thickness is a central quality characteristic for quality assurance of coating processes. Nevertheless, a perfectly applied coating can still show defects caused by filmic or particulate contaminations from previous production or cleaning processes. Testing and monitoring the parts cleanliness prior to the coating process in addition to the process-related layer thickness measurement ensures an optimal result of the coating in order to meet increasing customer requirements.
Within the online seminar „Parts cleanliness and layer thickness inspection – Assuring the quality of pre-treatment and coating in industrial practice“ the three companies Coatmaster AG, RJL Micro & Analytic GmbH and SITA Messtechnik GmbH present the basics for measuring technology to monitor and document particulate and filmic contaminations as well as the layer thickness. Application examples demonstrate typical measuring tasks.
The free online seminar on 12 May 2021 offers a first entry to the topic for all participants of the entire value chain of industrial coating: Coater, plant engineers, paint suppliers, customers of contract coating.
