Tour of the Period Rooms: "Privacy in the Early American Home"
You are probably familiar with homes that have a separate bedroom, living room, and so forth. Did you ever wonder how that all began? How do homes from colonial America compare with later periods?

This tour takes you through four of the DAR Museum's period rooms to give you a taste of home life in the early days of the United States. You will see how shifting ideas about privacy changed the overall look of the home, and which activities took place where.

The tour is free, lasts about 30-45 minutes, and you will be able to ask questions.
