COVID-19 has magnified disparities in healthcare, especially in Seattle’s communities of color.
The fact that a large number of essential workers come from communities of color — many of them from multigenerational households — has meant that they’ve felt the ongoing impacts of COVID the hardest. Community organizations have stepped up to meet the needs of their own communities throughout the pandemic by providing education, access, and support.
Join The Evergrey and Civic Commons on Wednesday, April 14, as we bring together leaders to discuss the impacts of COVID-19 on the health and wellbeing in their communities.
We’ll be joined by:
• Michelle Merriweather, President and CEO at Urban League
• Michael Itti, Executive Director at CISC
• Abigail Echo-Hawk, MA, Executive Vice President at Seattle Indian Health Board and Director of Urban Indian Health Institute
Hosted by Grace Madigan, Evergrey Director, and Frank Nam, project director at Civic Commons.
