NLF Imaginary Lines Book Club - For Parents and Educators will begin with the book, READER, COME HOME, by Maryanne Wolf.
This book is structured in the form of letters to a reader, as the author looks at what happens to the human brain when we read, and how we can nurture the practice of deep reading in an age of digital distraction. The letters consider the need to build a reading culture and how our capacity for critical thinking, empathy, and reflection is deeply influenced by our reading.
Each interaction will see Kavita Gupta Sabharwal, co-founder, Neev Literature Festival, in conversation with Indian and international reading experts and psychologists on particular chapters of the book.
The details of the sessions are:
Session 1: Sep 16 - Aruna Sankaranarayanan (Author / Psychologist) 5.30 to 6.30 pm IST (GMT +5.5)
