Strengthening Sustainability Programs in Higher Education

In October 2020, the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine released a consensus study report with recommendations on how to strengthen sustainability programs and curricula in higher education. Committee member Chris Boone will share and discuss the report’s recommendations organized around three themes: i) strengthening sustainability educational programs at undergraduate and graduate levels; (ii) building the academic environment for sustainability in higher education institutions; and (iii) developing a sustainability workforce to understand and address current and future sustainability challenges.
