For a comprehensive literature review, it’s best practice not to just search one database and one database alone. Each database has unique content, and you need to be sure not to introduce bias to your review by missing relevant literature. This short webinar focuses on the features to pay attention to help make sure you get the best results possible from each database you use.
This 30 minute webinar will look at a search on the Ovid, Web of Science, and EBSCOhost platforms, as well as PubMed. The tutorial will be followed by a question and answer session.
The webinar will be delivered by IFIS' Information Literacy and Outreach Manager, Carol Hollier. Before joining IFIS in 2019, Carol worked in instruction librarian roles for over 10 years at universities in the US and UK. She has a Masters in Library and Information Science and a PGCHE in Education.
