JD Edwards EnterpriseOne has adopted a Continuous Innovation model, where new functionality is delivered as updates to the existing release and upgrades are no longer required to gain access to new features and capabilities. The latest EnterpriseOne Continuous Innovation Release of EnterpriseOne 9.2 Update 2 also extends Premier Support through at least Dec 2030.
Critical to customers strategy towards continuous improvement is the ability to assess the system impact of software updates, install the updates successfully, validate the impact of the updates and merging with custom code and to perform the previously identified retrofits. Customers must obtain insight into the number of customizations and their complexity, the rules for modifications and their preservation and the tools to facilitate these activities.
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne also provides updates for reported issues and customers should become aware of the process and the tools to research issues, enter new issues, track issues, and if necessary escalate issues.
