Join us for a tutorial to help you understand and undertake effective searching for literature reviews.

Our best practice tutorial includes:

- Purposes and complications of literature searching
We’ll look at the context of how information can found and accessed, and challenges researchers face in the current information landscape.

- Characteristics of a good search
Knowing what to aim for is key to getting there, so we’ll discuss both what those characteristics are why they are crucial for producing a good literature review, and important to any literature search activity.

- Strategies to help you search well
Explore strategies and tools that help translate the theory into practice.

The tutorial will be followed by a question and answer session.

The webinar will be delivered by IFIS' Information Literacy and Outreach Manager, Carol Hollier. Before joining IFIS in 2019, Carol worked in instruction librarian roles for over 10 years at universities in the US and UK. She has a Masters in Library and Information Science and a PGCHE in Education.
