Progress towards universal access to sexual and reproductive health services. What is the role of evidence in policy and programme decision-making?

Despite efforts made by Member States to promote evidence-informed health policy and programme decision-making, translating research evidence into policy remains a very challenging task. Additionally, there is still a gap in recognizing the importance of paying attention to context, the role of stakeholders and processes, the importance of inclusive processes, and consensus-building, build strong constituencies of support for the uptake of evidence.

The World Health Organization (WHO)'s Department of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Research (SRH), through the Human Reproduction Programme (HRP) and the Applying Research to Policy and Practice for Health (ARCH) programme at the Global Health Network are bringing you a webinar to create a space for diverse stakeholders (decision-makers, researchers, donors, and civil society) to share experiences and strategies for promoting evidence uptake and driving action in SRH policy decision-making and programme implementation and resource allocation decisions.
