How to... use FSTA on EBSCO
Join us for a tutorial in how to search effectively, when using FSTA on EBSCO. You will learn:

- How to do a basic search
Quickly find high-quality information in your area of interest within the sciences of food and health.

- How to use the thesaurus to search
Make sure you find all of the relevant studies, using our extensive food and beverage-focused thesaurus to discover and combine relevant keywords for your search.

- How to do an advanced search
Drill down into only the most relevant results, and pinpoint exactly the information you need.

The tutorial will be followed by a question and answer session.

The webinar will be delivered by IFIS' Information Literacy and Outreach Manager, Carol Hollier. Before joining IFIS in 2019, Carol worked in instruction librarian roles for over 10 years at universities in the US and UK. She has a Masters in Library and Information Science and a PGCHE in Education.

Carol Hollier
Information Literacy and Outreach Manager @IFIS Publishing
Before joining IFIS, Carol worked in academic libraries in student and faculty facing roles that involved teaching research and information literacy skills. She has been a Reference and Instruction Librarian at The Ohio State University, an Academic Subject Librarian at the University of Lincoln (UK), and Faculty Team Librarian supporting the School of Biosciences at the University of Nottingham. Her most recent role before moving to IFIS was Senior Librarian, Teaching and Learning Support at the University of Nottingham. Carol holds a Master’s in Library and Information Science from Kent State University, a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education from the University of Lincoln, and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
