Alejandra Salinas
LCSW Clinical Care Manager, @Unaccompanied Children Immigration and Refugee Services CCANO
Alejandra Salinas, LCSW is a licensed clinical social worker and Clinical Care Manager with the Immigration and Refugee Services Department at Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans. She earned her MSW from Tulane University in 2014 with a certificate in Disaster Mental Health and Trauma Studies. She has been serving disenfranchised populations in the Greater New Orleans area for the past 9 years, most recently focusing on immigrant youth and families. Alejandra is passionate about utilizing strengths-based approaches to provide trauma-responsive care to the communities of Greater New Orleans and beyond.
Andrew Dafoe
Founder and CEO @TraduccioNOLA
After receiving his B.A. from Tulane University in Psychology and Spanish, Mr. Dafoe received his certificate in Healthcare and Legal Translation and Interpreting from Loyola University New Orleans and became one of the first of 10 Louisiana Supreme Court Certified Spanish Interpreters. Mr. Dafoe has interpreted in numerous district, parish and city courts throughout Louisiana and Mississippi. He is a Certified Healthcare Interpreter, and has provided interpreting and translation to medical providers and consumers throughout the region. He is the founder of TraduccioNOLA, which offers language services in more than 30 languages to both public and private clients throughout the gulf coast.
