He is an academician and education administrator with more than 22+ years of experience in academia spanning over academics, admissions, examinations, general administration, legal affairs, and teaching. He is an expert in ODL and Online education with expertise of establishing and managing University admission and examination offices in large scale, both in campus and distance mode. Prior to Manipal University Jaipur, He was Assistant Controller of Examinations in the Directorate of Distance Education at Sikkim Manipal University and had shouldered various significant responsibilities in the directorate. Dr G Mallikarjuna started his career as lecturer in Engineering Colleges in Tamil Nadu on 1998 and in 2004 was appointed as first Assistant Controller of Examinations in Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research, Chennai.
