Topic
2030: Social and Economic Trends That Will Reshape the World
Description
TEDxGateway Webinar:
Prof. Mauro Guillen (Zandman Professor at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania) in conversation with Shayamal Vallabhjee (Sports Scientist)
About The Session:
The society and the economy are undergoing massive transformations: more grandparents than grandchildren, the rise of the Asian middle class of consumers, women as wealth holders, the continuing growth of cities, and the more intensive use of technology. The consequences for consumer and financial markets, for society, and for the global balance of power are far-reaching.
One cannot be an effective manager, decision-maker, or citizen without understanding that the world is rapidly changing. The pandemic is accelerating this transition, not delaying it. Thus, it is very important to raise the perspective and think about the next 10 years, and not just about how to overcome the current crisis.
