Rubenstein (Partner @Wright, Constable, & Skeen, LLP) Laura L. Rubenstein is a partner in Wright, Constable & Skeen’s Labor and Employment Practice Group and a member of firm’s Executive Committee. Her practice includes advising clients on workplace law, including COVID-19’s impact on work culture. She represents businesses and nonprofit organizations in a wide range of matters and successfully handles and guides clients through harassment and discrimination investigations claims filed against company leadership. Laura defends against wage disputes, harassment, discrimination and retaliation claims, as well as breach of contract lawsuits. Laura regularly drafts employment contracts, restrictive covenants, employee handbooks, disciplinary and termination letters as well as separation agreements. Laura also enjoys advising on Board governance matters, working with company officers and C-level executives. She regularly provides on-site training for leaders to reduce legal exposure. Melissa M. McGuire (Partner @Wright, Constable, & Skeen, LLP) Melissa Menkel McGuire is a partner at Wright, Constable & Skeen in the firm’s Labor and Employment Practice Group. Ms. McGuire represents businesses in all aspects of employment law and aggressively defends claims alleging violations of wage and hour law, wage payment and collection law, family and medical leave law, employment civil rights laws and breach of contract. She also defends employment tort claims such as wrongful discharge, negligent hiring and retention and defamation. Ms. McGuire regularly provides employers advice and counsel on all aspects of the employment relationship, including disciplinary matters, leave, benefits, policies and procedures, wage and hour compliance, protection of proprietary information, employment contracts, severance, unemployment benefit issues, hire letters, discrimination and retaliation, independent contractor classification and employee medical issues.
