What You'll Learn:
Participants will have increased confidence when screening and assessing adolescents with lethality concerns, identifying elements unique to this age group.
Participants will be able to identify WHEN to complete a lethality assessment
Participants will gain understanding of all elements of lethality assessment and be able to successfully IMPLEMENT with adolescents.
Participants will effectively use assessment to guide safety planning with adolescents and the caregivers.
Participants will learn the keys needed to screen, assess, and engage with adolescents during lethality assessments. Using "model, skill, or guide", participants will be able to gauge an adolescent's risk level, helping create more effective safety plans. To help participants transfer skills from workshop to practice, this workshop will include adolescent focused case studies and scenarios.
