On July 22, 2020 from 12-1pm ET, join the Renewable Thermal Collaborative to consider two of the most exciting recent developments in the North American renewable thermal market.
Thermal energy stakeholders consistently point to the need for instruments and markets similar to Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs), which have proven invaluable in enabling and accelerating renewable electricity transactions in both voluntary and compliance markets.
M-RETS and the Center for Resource Solutions (CRS) have made significant progress towards developing renewable thermal certificate (RTC) markets.
Ben Gerber, Executive Director of M-RETS, will discuss the capabilities of M-RETS’s RTC Tracking platform, which launched January 2020. Rachael Terada, Director of Technical Projects at CRS, will share CRS’s work on the proposed Green-e® certification standard for Renewable Fuels, including renewable natural gas (RNG).
Attendees will come away from the session with a detailed understanding of where and how renewable thermal instruments are being traded in North America, and how stakeholders are considering and thinking through the certification requirements for an important and growing renewable thermal resource.
