Understanding Our New World - A Conversation with Mayor Pete Buttigieg
Join the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute on Thursday, September 24 at 12:00 p.m. CT via Zoom for a conversation with Mayor Pete Buttigieg and Institute Director John Shaw as they discuss Buttigieg's career in politics, the 2020 presidential campaign, and teaching at the University of Notre Dame.

Buttigieg served as mayor of South Bend, Indiana from 2012 to 2020 and was a candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020. A graduate of Harvard University and a Rhodes Scholar, he was a consultant at McKinsey & Company and served as an intelligence officer in the United States Navy Reserve. Buttigieg is now a professor at the University of Notre Dame.
