ISO 20022 updates, opinions & project lessons - one year to go!
Summary
The year 2022 is a watershed one for the payments industry with the start of the migration to the new richer financial messaging standard, ISO 20022, for many of the world’s largest high value and cross-border payments schemes. The payments industry is heading towards a common message standard for all payment types. This should be good news for all but it presents many challenges for the groups (banks, regulators, market infrastructures, technology providers) tasked with implementing this new richer data.
