Using Innovation Games for Teaching and Coaching innovation by John Bessant
Watch any child at play and you’ll get a crash course reminder of the power of games as a way of learning. Structured play helps in many ways – for example facilitating ‘safe’ experimentation, generating experiences, training and rehearsing responses and enabling interactive exploration. Not surprisingly games have become an indispensable part of the toolkit used by teachers and coaches in a variety of settings. So can it be used to help people learn about innovation and develop skills and capabilities in that field? And if so, how? What are the available approaches? Which games work best under what conditions?

Exploring these and other questions is the theme of this webinar, the first in a series which will look at how we might make use of games within the innovation teaching and coaching world.

This webinar is a part of GAMIFY project series of webinars on using innovation games for teaching and coaching innovation (https://www.gamify.site/). GAMIFY is a Knowledge Alliance of academics (HHL, HMKW, Complutense, Design School Kolding) and industry (Deutsche Telekom, Danske Bank, 3M, Kamstrup, Lufthansa Systems, AachenMünchener Versicherung).
