His research interests focus on integrating analytical techniques in interdisciplinary studies. Research areas include the electrochemical characterisation of chemical and biochemical processes in microfluidic environments, as well as the in-situ study of these platforms with techniques such as florescence microscopy. Recent research interests have included the application of algae and cyanobacteria in photo-microbial fuel cells and their application in biomass production and bioremediation of industrial waste streams. Lidia Mishchenko Dr Mishchenko is a Teaching Associate at the University of Cambridge Judge Business School with teaching responsibilities for the Executive MBA, MPhil, and MFin postgraduate programmes. Lidia’s experience includes lectureship roles at the Open University, the University of Northampton, and the University of Buckingham. Lidia is a member of the British Accounting and Finance Association, Academy of Management, and a Fellow for the Higher Education Academy in the UK. Lidia’s area of research interest focuses on digital innovation adoption and the interface between social and human sciences and digital computation. Drawing from novel and established methods, Lidia currently explores the infrastructure of digital business and financial reporting. The research aims to better inform scholars, professional industry associations, governmental authorities, and practitioners in establishing efficient digital communication of business data and improving policies and regulation. Peter Dixon During his first career, in the Royal Air Force, Dr Dixon served as a transport pilot, trained student pilots at three University Air Squadrons and taught Military Doctrine at the United States Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs. After leaving the RAF, he led a British peacebuilding NGO for over a decade, focusing on inclusive Track 1.5 dialogue processes, predominantly in Sudan and South Sudan. Dr Dixon obtained his BSc in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Bristol and, in 1991, an MBA from the Open University Business School. He studied for the MSt in International Relations at the University of Cambridge in 2005-7 and continued his research, completing a PhD in 2015. His thesis examines barriers to cooperation between external interventions in civil wars. He teaches International Relations and writes non-fiction, with a focus on war and peace. Hasssan Rahmoune Dr Rahmoune has over 30 years relevant experience in pharmaceutical (GlaxoSmithKline/UK), Biotechnology (Rodaris/UK) and Academic (University of Cambridge/UK) environments. He has also developed a solid research background with over 100 scientific publications in several therapeutic areas such as Diabetes, Cancer, Respiratory and neuropsychiatric diseases. As a senior Researcher/Technical officer at the University of Cambridge, he is currently: i) involved in supervising under/postgraduate students and postdocs; ii) working towards establishing translational sciences within an academic environment. Over this time and in collaboration with multiple academic/pharmaceutical partners, he has established a global (US/European) clinical network to evaluate the potential application(s) of biomarkers as diagnostic tool. Prior to his current academic position, he was heading the biomarkers discovery group at GlaxoSmithKline to translate his laboratory discoveries into a clinical setting. Ingrid Dixon Ingrid Dixon studied German and Italian at the university of Bristol, Education at the University of Cambridge and Art History at the Courtauld Institute of Art, completing a Masters degree in early Sienese and Florentine art. Her research has focused on the early Italian art collection of George Edmund Street, a Victorian architect and contemporary of the artists of the Pre-Raphaelite brotherhood. Ingrid has taught German language and reading skills at the University in Cambridge, and has been teaching on Downing College Summer Schools since 2004, developing and teaching courses in academic English and British culture and identity. She particularly enjoys working with students from other nations, supporting them in developing their linguistic skills and exploring with them the rich history and culture of Cambridge, as well as the wider history of art in Britain. Prerona Prasad Dr Prasad is Curator of The Heong Gallery at Downing College and has been a part of its story since it opened in 2016 as a world-class exhibition space for Modern and Contemporary Art. Over the past six years, Prerona has lectured and written on everything from comic strip art and illustration to the history of collecting, contemporary printmaking, gender and art, and diaspora art in Britain. Her recent projects include a video essay on diaspora artists Issam Kourbaj and Soheila Sokhanvari for the British Art Network, as well as a season of films directed by Ai Weiwei for the Cambridge Film Festival. She is interested in the ideas that inspire contemporary artists, and in the history of contemporary art exhibitions since the 1960s.Her passion is to engage school and university students in dialogues about contemporary artmaking and its cultural and social significance.
