Sharing Power: The Challenge of Board Diversity
How is it that 84% of non-profit board members are white* when study after study has concluded that a diverse and equitable board leads to a stronger, more impactful institution?

Join us for a webinar Wednesday, April 14 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. CDT. We will discuss the possible explanations behind such low board diversity with a distinguished panel of non-profit and business leaders. The conversation will not only investigate the problem but also suggest practical and actionable solutions that organizations can take to address this critical issue.

Lisa Tabor, president of CultureBrokers, will moderate the panel, which includes William Harris, president and CEO of Space Center, Houston; Samuel Hoi, president of the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA); Kim Nelson, retired senior vice president of External Relations for General Mills and board member for the Northside Achievement Zone; and Drew Wilson, COO/CFO of SoundCloud and board member for The Gotham Film and Media Institute.

A recording of the webinar will be shared with registrants.

Full participation in "Sharing Power: The Challenge of Board Diversity" is applicable for 1.0 point in Category 1.B – Education of the CFRE International application for initial certification and/or recertification.
