Ryan has worked as the technical training director and process engineer at Clean Tech plastics recycling center in Michigan, a project engineer working on renewable energy and smart grid systems for NextEnergy Center in Detroit, and spent a majority of 2012 living in Liberia, West Africa training high school and college students about engineering careers. Ryan received two master’s degrees in mechanical engineering and sustainable systems from the University of Michigan, and is passionate about “bridging the gap” by teaching complex topics to broader groups of people.
