In Downfall: The Demise of a President and His Party, Dr. Hacker’s close analysis of midterm and special elections points to the conclusion that Donald Trump will not be reelected, regardless of which Democratic candidate opposes him.

ANDREW HACKER is a professor of political science at Queens College. He is the author of ten books, including the New York Times bestseller Two Nations: Black and White, Separate, Hostile, Unequal. Hacker is a frequent contributor to the New York Review of Books and has written for the Wall Street Journal, The Nation, Forbes, Fortune, The Atlantic, and many professional journals. He lives in New York City.
ESTER R. FUCHS is Professor of International and Public Affairs and Political Science and is the Director of the Urban and Social Policy Program at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. She served as Special Advisor to the Mayor for Governance and Strategic Planning under New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg from 2001 to 2005. Professor Fuchs serves as Director of WhosOnTheBallot.org, an online voter engagement initiative for New York City.
