Paul Rhodes
Director of Maintenance Operations @The Life Properties
As the Director of Maintenance Operations, Paul Rhodes oversees policies, procedures, and personnel development for all onsite maintenance activities. Paul arrived at The Life Properties in May of 2020 after over 10 years of experience performing all maintenance roles at the site level. Additionally, Paul delivered training for 15 years focused on all aspects of apartment maintenance across the country as a national trainer for HD Supply and the National Apartment Association Education Institute (NAAEI). In 2007 and 2008, he was recognized by the National Swimming Pool Foundation as an Instructor of Excellence for CPO® training. As the Lead Trainer for HD Supply customer training, Paul led the transition to use digital training methods in the classroom, which increased the number of classes delivered. As the National Safety and Maintenance Instructor for NAAEI, he updated the curriculum for the ANSI accredited Certificate for Apartment Maintenance Technician program.
Adrian Danilla
Regional Director of Maintenance @Lessen
Adrian started his property management career in 2003 as a part-time groundskeeper. Since 2007, he has been managing service departments for large and high-profile assets and overseeing maintenance operations, capital projects and renovations for portfolios of up to 9,000 apartment homes. Adrian’s current role is Regional Director of Maintenance for Lessen. Prior to joining Lessen, Adrian worked for Birchstone Residential where he oversaw maintenance operations for a portfolio of 10 apartment communities in Georgia and Florida. Before Birchstone, Adrian was Director of Facilities and Maintenance at ECI Group, an owner/operator based in Atlanta, Georgia with assets located throughout the Southeast U.S. In his previous role, Adrian oversaw the maintenance operations and capital projects for 25 properties located in Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Louisiana totaling 7,000 apartment homes. Adrian holds a law degree from the Romanian-American University.
Stephanie Anderson

With 15 years of property management experience, Stephanie Anderson brings a wealth of knowledge specializing in revenue management, creative marketing and employee development. She was NAAEI’s 2015 Designate of the Year and CAM of the Year in 2013. She is a powerhouse speaker that shares her industry knowledge, motivates professionals to greater success and disrupts status quo with out of the box ideas and trends. She is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University where she majored in English Literature and Women’s Studies. She holds a Virginia Real Estate License and is certified as a National Instructor for NAAEI.
Mark Vanderhoof
Director of Maintenance Content @Grace Hill, Inc.
Mark Vanderhoof has over 40 years of experience in multifamily maintenance. He is an award-winning instructor, certified public speaker, a recognized subject matter expert by the National Apartment Association Education Institute (NAAEI), who has presented at NAA and other industry conferences. Mark taught himself how to do graphic design and course development with programs like Illustrator, Captivate, and Storyline to create online courses for companies within the multifamily industry. As Grace Hill’s Director of Maintenance Content Mark is responsible for both the concept as well as the writing of the Safety Series, updating the Basic Maintenance series, and takes part in writing Maintenance Standard Operating Procedures for Policy Partners.
