Brian Sanders is a Network Intrusion Response Agent assigned to the United States Secret Service Dallas Field Office Cyber Fraud Task Force. He has been an agent with the United States Secret Service for more than 20 years and has worked Electronic Crimes cases for more than 14 of those years. During his tenure with Secret Service, Agent Sanders has been the case agent for investigations involving network intrusion, ransomware, business email compromise, and child exploitation.
The presentation includes a brief history of the US Secret Service and the formation of the Cyber Fraud Task Force Investigative Methodology. Topics include emerging trends in the cyber security threat landscape and new concerns with the unplanned move to working from home as well as recommendations for threat mitigation before a problem occurs.
