Online Mind-Body Skills Group for Healthcare Workers
The Mind-Body Skills Group for Healthcare Workers program has been specifically developed to meet the needs of caring professionals, including mental health professionals, who are witnessing the wide-reaching emotional and physical effects of this public health crisis. The Mind-Body Skills Group programming provides participants with knowledge and practical skills for coping with uncertainty, secondary-traumatic stress, and compassion fatigue by using a mind-body medicine framework.
The mind-body skills group will engage healthcare workers with evidenced-based practices including; mindfulness, guided imagery, Drawing/Journal Writing, movement, and Nutrition. These integrative mental health approaches have been known to help lower levels of stress, improve mood, enhance resiliency and optimism, and help prevent chronic health conditions.
