Over the last year the Smart Energy Communities policy has gained significant traction and support from grassroots community energy groups to political leaders. In 2016, the Federal ALP adopted the policy in the lead-up to the federal election, earlier this year the Victorian Government put into place a trial of three community energy hubs – a core element of the policy. But what is this policy, where did it come from and where is it going?
In this Webinar Nicky Ison will talk through the Smart Energy Communities policy, the rationale and reasons behind it and arguments that are gaining traction with politicians and policy makers of all stripes and creeds. She will also talk about how you can get involved in the campaign to ensure community energy groups and locked out energy users are supported as Australia transitions to clean energy.
