45:40
Thanks for question Kai, I’ve added it to the list to follow up with Christine / other speakers at the end.
Eva
46:27
It`s not entirely true that observers from NGOs can`t join negotiations - some (of course usually the most important ones) are closed, but generally they are open for observers
Eva
47:02
But of course just to observe, not to say something
Kai

Finland holds EU Council presidency this winter and its env&climate minister is a Green, for example.
Renaat Van Rompaey
54:53
Does GG has a Space on its Intranet displaying green voters, party members, parlementarians, minister?
elena
58:56
The Chilean Constitution still is the same like during Pinochet and establishes one of the most neoliberal political and social systems world wide. @Alejandro, do you think the decision to draw away from organizing the COP 25 is helpful for the Protests?
Kai
01:00:31
Very sorry for Chilean Greens.
Helen Ryan-Sykes
01:01:25
Renaat that would be good
Heidi Vierthaler
01:01:38
Hi everyone, I am sending my love from Southern Maine. I know that one of my concerns about the last few COP's had to do with the fact that I heard that not enough was being done to provide reparations to those most affected by the scourge of the Climate Change Catastrophe, especially those on the Frontlines of sea level rise, and those who have been overthrown by the Fossil Fuel Industries and their Projects, from the Maldives, to Hurricane Katrina and Sandy, to Protect Orange County in Hudson Valley Upstate New York, and Tacoma, Washington both are trying to stop the corruption of their City Council's that are shoving Fracked Gas Facilities into their CommUnities (those are just a few towns), to the Tar Sands extraction zones in Alberta, Canada, and their attached Keystone XL Pipeline, to Protect South Portland Maine trying to keep that tar sands out of our state, and also the Mega Dams, especially with Hydro-Quebec causing Genocide and Ecological Ethnic Cleansing Cree and Inuit in James Bay Ecosystem...
Renaat Van Rompaey
01:01:47
Good luck, Alejandro! the big battle

Congratulations Michael on your election to Europarl!
Heidi Vierthaler
01:06:38
...James Bay ecosystem South of Hudson Bay, for which Hydro-Quebec (HQ), who didn't do an environmental assessment so didn't know that their Mega Dams would cause Mercury poisoning and Greenhouse Gasses in our world, & HQ is trying to sell their electricity to New England, especially Maine with the Central Maine Power CMP New England Clean Energy Connect NECEC Transmission Line Corridor, & New York City which wants to base it's Green New Deal on this Genocidal HQ electricity, ...
Andrés Ingi (Iceland)
01:10:42
MIchael; EU claims to be climate leader, but isn't doing enough, like you say. Is any national gov't (or regional entity) doing enough?
Renaat Van Rompaey
01:12:22
What is Germany as biggest and greenest EU-country putting on the table at COP25?
Heidi Vierthaler
01:14:04
...So my question is did I hear you say something about the fact that there might be some form of Global Fund to provide reparations to those who have fallen prey to the Fossil Fuel & possibility Mega Dam Industries & their Projects, so that we can rebuild their CommUnities & make them whole again? I thought that I had heard, a few years ago, that there wasn't a movement to establish such a Fund. Please let us all know what the status is on this issue, & what we might be able to do to help to promote such a Fund. Thank you for your patience with my long question! Blessings to you & your endeavors!
Helen Ryan-Sykes

The Green Climate fund was established some years ago but has suffered from lack of funds. There is now a commitment to $9.7b. Some projects have been financed around the world.

I have a question for all the speakers if they may. What would be the optimal and realistical outcomes of this COP?
dierkvonbehrens
01:25:46
The Australian Capital Territory, which surrounds and contains our capital, Canberra, is going carbon neutral in its energy system currently. It has legislated for total carbon neutrality by 2045.
Lucy Mbae
01:27:17
Thanks Christine. for the outline and expectations to get during cop. expect for the European breakfast do we have other side events for green? am Lucy from kenya
elena
01:28:44
Question: How we as GYG plan on implement the Latin American experience with the Climate Crisis within the COP as it is now. Being in Chile at the moment, the FFF and XR Groups here that I have been in touch with are very much concerned that the life threats, invisibilization and oppression of Climate activists will go on without the world noticing.. However, I guess most activists won't fly over to Europe for a Climate Event to make their point..
Heidi Vierthaler
01:31:58
So Christine is your answer re the Green Climate Fund the answer to my question? Please will someone, even if Christine is one of the panelists, please answer my question about what we need to do to ensure that those who are on the Frontlines who are suffering from the scourge of the Climate Change Catastrophe will be able to get funding to make their CommUnities whole again? Thank you!
Renaat Van Rompaey
