We added to Judging contest two years ago
jana.barrett
41:26
2. Contestants will not be allowed to carry electronic devices into the contest while judging, exceptthose devices required for medical reasons (ie blood sugar monitors/apps). This includes cell phones, tablets and other devices capable of transmitting information (ie Apple Watch or other smartphone stylewatch devices). It is recommended that all cell phones be left with a parent, coach or agent. Otherwisethey must be kept in a contestant’s pocket, always in the off position. If a contestant is caught with acell phone or other electronic device, the contestant and their team may be disqualified.
jana.barrett
47:38
We will make that happen for the photographer
Ginger Rogers
48:17
Is a wide headband acceptable for hair restraint?
Courtney Dodd
48:21
When talking MyPlate, want to confirm that daily needs are based upon 4-H member's needs (not 2000 calorie diet), correct?
ronda.white
48:26
Can you clarify for contest on the my plate servings do they base it on a 2000 calorie diet or their age and gender
justin.saenz
48:39
hair restraints will be required for boys as well? I know alot do not think about it, since they have short hair
Valarie Perez Campos
49:02
boys also need hair restraint/covering?
shelley.haller
49:15
I do have a question. I'm new at this and apparently Ochiltree county has never owned electric skillets to be taken to competition. They have always used hot plates and skillets. Are electric skillets required?
jana.barrett
49:48
Some boys do have longer hair these days so retraints for boys would likely be necessary for those with flowing hair
Courtney Dodd
50:13
Like mine!
Audra Graves
50:14
At State, will they be allowed to plug in 2 items since Reed Arena can handle it? Also, will they be provided the worksheet since it says optional?
laura.petty
54:11
Dishes within a category will vary, which is cool!
Calley Runnels
56:38
Have you already set an amount teams will receive in "contest currency" ?
Lorie.Stovall
57:20
are you going to give new sample questions for judges?
justin.saenz
58:47
Will the Majors/National Contests be transitioning to these new changes?
Denise.Goebel
59:58
Sorry can't resist....but the bottle necking might be caused by the girl in the photo behind the pantry looks like she has no clothes on.... :-O! LOL.
Valarie Perez Campos
01:00:20
LOL Denise
Denise.Goebel
01:02:19
Sorry
Jheri Lynn McSwain
01:02:58
So, if teams choose all the same ingredients, what happens if the pantry is out of item planned to be used?
Tanya's iPad
01:03:21
the total of currency include the price of the item in the bag plus what is taken from the pantry?
sseidel1
01:03:34
will teams still share a healthy lifestyle choice and if so is it each team member?
Cory.Hundl
01:03:46
San Antonio will
Ginger Rogers
01:04:02
Will they have several people to work at the chef pantry, if it is a large contest?
Jheri Lynn McSwain
01:04:48
Clarification - so in their bags, they will only have the key ingredient with everything else in the pantry?
Sonia Coyle
01:05:54
this is only for Senirs, right?
Sonia Coyle
01:07:06
With Intermediates and Juniors can we still use old play of rules, or maybe transition to this new rules...?
Ginger Rogers
01:07:17
Will State Fair & HOT fair follow the new guidelines?
Lorie.Stovall
01:08:17
I think she said SFT will go by old rules due to time constraints
sseidel1
01:09:49
Can score sheet reflex that it can be the team as a whole or each member sharing healhty lifestyle choice. It was confusing at judges table.
Liz.Espie
01:09:55
HOT fair will not change this year, as rules have already been submitted
Sonia Coyle
01:09:59
great, thanks!
Calley Runnels
01:10:02
Please clarify the amount they can spend at the pantry? Is the key ingredient in addition?
Valarie Perez Campos
01:10:30
with the featured gadget, I know they are not expensive, but what do we do with old tools we remove? for example our group stocks five boxes for different age groups. this gets pricey
ronda.white
01:12:33
For bulk items in the pantry, example flour, will they take the item to the cooking table to measure and bring back to pantry or measure out while at the pantry
sseidel1
01:12:38
great job!
Jheri Lynn McSwain
01:13:03
I like the changes - this will add a new level of play!
