I’m hosting an event from last summer after Charlottesville called Honk Against Hate, which basically is a 4 corners plus media sign event encouraging motorists to honk their support. Last year in the aftermath of Charlottesville police were very reluctant to enforce noise ordinance violations. We promised they wouldn’t last more than 30 minutes. This year I’m not so sure. Advice?

54:27
if you are unable to receive a permit for a public space, what are other places you can use to hold the event that can hold several people more than 200?

54:46

55:09
4 corners plus ‘median’ not media.

55:37
How soon will the recording of this training be available? There's so much to go over!

55:39
Hate groups have received a permit to protest in Washington DC on the anniversary of Charlottesville. I don't know how hard they are working to get people physically to DC or if they'll be organizing more local events. FYI

We often hold events in the evening in front of our city hall, on the Capitol grounds, or a couple different small state parks downtown.

01:14:29
If you hold a protest on the street, can you make use of a goverment building (like a town hall) parking lot for extra space (like if sidewalks are too narrow)?

01:15:34
Thank you!
