I’m hosting an event from last summer after Charlottesville called Honk Against Hate, which basically is a 4 corners plus media sign event encouraging motorists to honk their support. Last year in the aftermath of Charlottesville police were very reluctant to enforce noise ordinance violations. We promised they wouldn’t last more than 30 minutes. This year I’m not so sure. Advice?

if you are unable to receive a permit for a public space, what are other places you can use to hold the event that can hold several people more than 200?

Hate groups have received a permit to protest in Washington DC on the anniversary of Charlottesville. I don't know how hard they are working to get people physically to DC or if they'll be organizing more local events. FYI
