It sounds like campuses are making great progress, but also that we're all in different stages and using different approaches. I see this as a very positive fo the state as we learn from each other
Jayne Turk
29:59
Jayne from Siskiyous. We should be working on implementation...and we are not there yet.

Rhea, we are doing continuous inquiry in onboarding especially as the student profile continuously changes
Academic Senate for CCC

Thanks John. We are trying to figure it out. :)
Academic Senate for CCC

FYI, I just an email to Eric with the login info.

At Fresno City College, GP Coordinator is also GP Senate Liaison. Mostly reporting to existing committees, would like more integration of GP in existing structure.
John Stover
38:09
At SRJC our Senate has been centrally involved and leading our process.
Academic Senate for CCC
38:28
Frankie, forums, workgrous and governance committees are excellent vehicles to bring all the pieces together. Great work!
Academic Senate for CCC
39:39
Nicole, having more voices involved in the process from all groups will strength the process. Excellent!
Academic Senate for CCC
40:39
Rhea, please don’t hesitate to reach out to ASCCC if we can help. We’re always happy to provide support.
Academic Senate for CCC
41:12
John, guided pathways is strongest as a faculty lead process, having the Academic Senate leading will lead to great outcomes.
Academic Senate for CCC
41:29
Hi Rhea, So true about the challenge. We at ELAC will be giving greater emphasis to integration this year and next.
Academic Senate for CCC
42:33
You can go onto the ASCCC website and click on the “Services” tab to request a visit for Guided Pathways.
Academic Senate for CCC
44:05
Rhea, you are not alone. Other institutions are experiencing various levels of integration challenges. Bring governance bodies into the process will continue to strength your process.

Does anyone have questions for Loren or OCC
Academic Senate for CCC
47:13
I think he is speaking to it now about taking faculty out of intervention and leaving it with student services
Eric Thompson
47:18
This is Eric, I think I have audio now. Don’t want to interupt.
Academic Senate for CCC
47:30
yay
Academic Senate for CCC

Cynthia, thank you for that comment. OCC is trying to be very transparent to help others because we have learned so much from colleges who have been transparent with us.
Jayne Turk
56:32
I would LOVE to see your criteria for distributing GP funds.
Academic Senate for CCC
57:02
Does anyone have questions for Eric or Santa Rosa at this time? He can respond live before we move to the next speaker.
Academic Senate for CCC
57:19
I will ask about that Jayne
Jayne Turk

Eric, to what degree is the SEA program and student equity plan factored into your GP money criterion?
Academic Senate for CCC
01:04:18
The GP webinars are recorded and posted for all. You can review these webinars and download the slides to engage and to educate all who are involved in the process. Webinars can also be used to start and/or support GP conversation and education.https://asccc.org/directory/guided-pathways-task-force
Eric Thompson
01:05:40
Susi, our SEA money is largely tied up in salaries. We want to avoid contributing to that. Where SEA money has been used for direct student support, both academic and survival, we want to help. We have a food back for students, fro example, and a PALS program—peer embedded tutoring, that has suffered cuts because the SEA money is tied up in salaries. Those are some main examples.

Does anyone have questions for Jeffrey or ELAC about their process or structure?
Academic Senate for CCC

How will some of you use this information at your college?
Academic Senate for CCC

Does anyone want to change something about how they are implementing Guided Pathways?

It is always good to get best practices early in the process.
Eric Thompson

I am both Senate Press and GP liaison; both disadvantages and advantages. Good bird’s view, but I think I’d like to delegate it.
