How to Build & Sustain VIBRANT Corporate Clubs w/Pat Johnson - Shared screen with speaker view
Pat Johnson rocks!
HI EVERYONE - PAT HERE IN VICTORIA, BC
Lori Haynes District 62 Michigan
I'm looking forward to this
hi there, glad to be here!
Hello, thank you for this!
what would you call the secretary?
Would you open the meeting with a toast?
You mentioned eliminating the Ah Counter. What about the Grammarian/Word of the Day?
Pat said she keeps the Grammarian with word of the day and focuses on grammar instead of filler words
Can Pat share the 60 min agenda with 3 speeches & 4 table topics?
Yes I’ll ask her to send it to us and we’ll add it to the D60 website
Would you be comfortable sharing a corporate Toastmasters policy without the company name?
I’m thinking this might be a document to start the discussion that a company could modify to their own needs.
Do these new corporate clubs focus on the DCP?
how would you deal with Toastmasters mentorship in the corporate environment?
mentoring another member, yes
yes, or the member mentir
Kris.... I really like the “executive expectations” concept.... can we chat on that later
yes! my email is email@example.com
what about clubs that already exist, where there is little or no Corp involvement.... do you have ideas to increase engagement?
we meet at lunch but attendance can be low due to work obligation...
Help people understand the benefits as Pat is describing them and showing them how this can help them in their careers.
Understanding the great personal benefit is a great way to increase engagement and get people to attend. As well as the variety and vibrant meeting agendas she spoke about at the beginning.
Keeping the meeting agenda tight as well might help. We’ll get her sample agenda.
Love this! love the shift from club to program, and treating the experience like a true learning experience within the organization. Really energized by this! thank you, Pat!
This has been such a help! I present tomorrow for a corporate club at my office. Already revising my speech mentally. Thank you!
Thank you Pat!
