Can you repeat Raphael's name re: Lightness?
Great point about how your sense of self impacts your coaching presence.
A situation where I feel I'm likely to fall out of presence is when I'm debriefing 360 feedback with a client (esp. if it's difficult for them to hear the feedback). I think I try to compensate for the client's feelings about their feedback.
How do you know when it’s appropriate to express your intuitive hits?
I think that there might be times as a coach you should not be coaching. For example when you, yourself as a coach are going through a really tough patch in your life, which will keep you from really being present. What do you think of that?
Deep breaths to move into my heart space, setting intention of presence for the coaching meeting.
I agree! When I sense I'm not in a great situation, I don't coach. I feel my presence is lacking and can't hold space needed foe client.
