Hello Cristina,
Mariló Castrillo
54:57
to Cristina: Why did not you contemplate quantitative research? Usually we combine both types in language research. Thank you
Barbara Conde G
55:17
Are you planning to look at the platforms where those MOOC language instructors are designing and delivering their courses to see if there is any relation between participants' challenges and the platforms where the course is delivered? I am asking this based on one of the answer from your participants that said " you need to study or become familiar with the platform to see what you can or cannot do in the platform" or somthing on those lines
Cristina Diordieva
58:54
Dr. Castrillo: I am very open to quantitative approach as well for my future studies; however, for my disseration I felt more confident in implementing qualitative design approch since i have already experience with that.
Mariló Castrillo
01:00:30
Great! Thank you for the answer!
Mariló Castrillo
01:01:08
To Christelle: Why did you decide to close the registration of participants in the last edition? Can not this produce bias in the results of the research?
Elena Martín-Monje
01:04:10
Barbara, Was your question directed to Cristina?
Barbara Conde G
01:05:52
Yes, to Cristina
Barbara Conde G
01:08:40
To Christelle: Can you please expand more on your idea of LMOOC as language learning objects?
Mariló Castrillo
01:09:27
ok thank you
Barbara Conde G
01:11:30
Great !
Toni Patton
01:13:10
To Christelle: how did you deal with your influence (as researcher adn participant) on learner activity?
hoppe-c
01:14:52
That's part of the intervention research characteristics : using immersion to gain comprehension of the data.
Elena Martín-Monje
01:16:20
Christelle, from what I see, you have been involved in an action-research process. Is that something you have contemplated when discussing research methodology in your dissertation?
hoppe-c
01:19:18
Yes I am using intervention reserach methodology to explain how effective it is for a practionner (Intervention research is part of the action research process).
Barbara Conde G
01:21:12
To Juan Jose del Peral: perhaps I missed your explanation for this...but, were the users aware that their "patterns of engagement" were being tracked?
Barbara Conde G
01:22:54
if so, do you think that awareness could have influenced your results?
Mariló Castrillo
01:27:29
Thank you all !!!
