Solar has contacted both factory and field service providers for assistance with direct verification. First, start with records. Many manufactureres hold certificates for several years, many hold records longer than their declared retention periods, and they may be willing to search for them. As for work on actual machines is concerned, every supplier (factory or field) is now booking open time slots fast. Call soon and keep calling to get your machines on a schedule. If you don't have direct verification paperwork and cannot get it done write a NCR, get a hard date, and have a P.O. on hand for your next audit. You may still get a finding but it shows intent to comply. Having valid in-spec indirect verification and service/calibration files on hand will reduce the product impact notification hassles.
