we have not
We have not either
I cannot unmute
We do not. Usually the information is volunteered when appropriate.
we cannot unmute ourselves.
We do not, also it says we cannot unmute
We have not.
We have not.
But we do not do these updates, but I think we will now start doing so! Great idea.
we ask yearly to update profile for any chages, e.g., job titles etc. change
Ditto here in New Mexico (we do but complianc is low). I'd like people to be more compliant, but to be honest there are more important things to work on.
sorry I am not sure what we do to make EHB work, I can inquire of our LEND folks and get back
We capture data independently that is later translated to NIRS and EHB based on what is needed.
but we are a small clinic so it is more simple for us.
i think that is likely what we do too
I would love to see what these forms look like. I have nothing to go off of here in Nevada.
We ask them regurlarly and remind them.
We generally get their CV's twice a year, in December and May and enter information ourselves. We found asking them to fill out forms or enter it themselves unworkable. We just stopped trying to convince them. Giving me the CV's is mandatory.
We require monthly reporting forms we have created for the staff but there isnt much compliance. We are in the same boat as everyone else in that every few months we discuss NIRS reporting with the staff and remind them what qualifies and what to report.
we created a customized form, but like others compliance is low
You might try to go the CV route, if getting them to somone can be made mandatory. It cuts out all the "bargaining".
We created a document to help them remember what data to enter. In staff/faculty meetings we remind them and take to answer questions related to NIRS and their data entry.
That's what we do
how do you get info that can not be obtained from a CV such as number of participants etc.
yes i agree
Dumb question: What does CV stand for?
We pull their CV. They won’t fill out forms but they do respond to emails so I will often email a list of the questions we need answered.
If we mark something as CE, it must have CEU's or certificates of completion (often used by people to get CEUs from their owen professional organizations) with it (Center policy).
Staff members provide their NIRS informationn and I enter it into NIRS. I will take the information however staff members give it to me. I created surveys for people to submit information, I review CVs, I glean information from forwarded email strings or event PDFs about presentations and events they are giving, review project websites and project Facebook posts... it goes on and on. I think if myself as a super spy.
I like that - Super Spy! Thank you Stacey
So if some folks do CEU and some do not, does it matter that the same NIRS evaluation questions go to both those asking for CEUs and those not?
So, if CE events must have certificates, why is the question about whether the CE event offers CEU's there?
Could it be because you said it was a LEND and UCEDD program type?
Also not required to indicate CE credits are offered if training?
Just asking - is there a lot of confusion about this? I thought this was pretty clear - Community Training doesn't have CEUs or certificates, CE events do. Have I been missing something?
Nina - if some folks take the CEUs and some do not, then it is still continuing ed because you have OFFERED the CEUs. You have prepared the activity in such a way that it meets the CEU requirement (or offers a certificate of completion) - the type of activity isn't changing because the participants opted out of CEUs or certificates. Does that help?
yes, that is my question: are the non CEU people included as part of the NIRS evaluation?
Good clarification, Dawn.
ok great, got it :)
We usually use their MCHB survey answers to complete the position setting of trainee at admission
Products data set in NIRS. Also look through activities that should have a product and get that entered.
For the Conf. Presentations/Posters we use attendance data. But we're open to suggestions on the others!
Hi, this is Lauren Schenker from the USC UCEDD (I'm here with my colleague Staci Iizumi). I asked this question. While not required for NIRS, these are metrics we like to keep track of internally.
And hope they may be of use for reporting purposes, as well. Thanks for your responses!
For social media and web page views, we include that information in the description of our activities so we can report that in the narrative of our PPR.
Dawn, is there a similar logic model for LEND? I only see one for UCEDD.
(Follow up to Dawn's earlier comment) Since LEND has performance measures, the "Current MCHB Guidance: DGIS Forms and PMs" instructions in the NIRS Resources section says they expire 6/30/19. Is there an updated version or maybe not because there are no changes since last year?
