Hi Everyone - We would love to invite you to share your response to the question of "What is your own practice for regenerative relationship?" here in the chat and with our livestream community :-)
One of my practices is to humanize the work by asking how each person is taking care of themselves. Often we glorify overworking and don't talk much about how to regenerate ourselves in order to sustain the work.
Feed people nice food : )
One of my practices is to move into relationship by each telling our stories of what brought us to the vision we share (with funder sharing their own vulnerability since that often doesn’t happen in funder relationships).
Wonderful suggestions - thank you so much.
Yes, thanks everyone!
Could Dimple repeat the three questions her foundation asks in lieu of written reports?
Maddy, here's what I have (I may have captured them incorrectly): 1) What do you want us to know about your work this year? 2) What are the strategic questions you’re grappling with? 3) How can we help?
I wrote it down: 1. what do you want to share? 2. what is on your mind about your strategy 3. how can I help
Got it. Thank you!
You all are great!
I recall two of Dimple's questions: What do you want to tell me about your work? How can I help you? Maybe someone else remembers the middle one.
The fact is funders can't help but be gatekeepers. How do you make your choices about whom to be relation with? Do you have something to share about different ways of judging the value of the work that aren't the typical metrics?
Thanks, Vanessa. Other questions I'll share with Vini.
Thanks! (Oops - "in relation with")
Vanessa - Sorry we weren't able to get your question in.
No problem! Thanks!
Thanks Justice Funders for making it possible for us to participate!
Thanks everyone for all the good work you do and the good people you are. Let us know if we ever can be of help.
Excellent session - grateful!
