Jason Smith
36:23
Yes, Hadi is talking
Lea Layman
44:02
I have restarted and still have no audio
TSBVI Outreach Media
46:01
TSBVI (Tx School for Blind & Visually Impaired) would be interested in collaboration with PeopleSoft. We have been working with media library MEDIAL.
Beth Coombs
47:26
Lea, I believe when you sign in you can test audio settings

00:47:58 Lea Layman:I will try again

Suzanne David
49:54
Audio is low
Lea Layman
50:01
It is still not giving me that option
TSBVI Outreach Media
50:02
Audio is little low.
Sue Morgan
50:08

TSBVI Outreach Media
57:18
My chat usually is announced in JAWS.
Andy de Artola
57:39
can you unmute us again
Andy de Artola
57:41
thanks
TSBVI Outreach Media
57:43
yes, it can be overwhelming if there is a lot of chat.
sswmedia University of Washington
58:24
How are the captions handled in the recordings?
sswmedia University of Washington
59:22
are they "burned in" or are they a separate file that will need to be synced?
TSBVI Outreach Media
59:40
My experience, the captions are not recorded.
Suzanne David
01:02:07
Captions can be saved as a text file, which has time codes. (Unfortunately, at least with Meeting, the time codes are local time, which won’t match with the time codes in recording.
cgreene
01:06:46
Do _we_ not have the option to view Participants in our tool/menu bar because this is a webinar that is controlled by you or because this is a webinar vs. meeting?
Joann Starks
01:07:09
I’m not seeing options that Hadi is describing.
Dan Comden
01:07:27
They should be showing now
Ken D
01:08:00
Hi cmazzola, if you do cloud recording, the captions will be recorded as WebVTT format; if you do local recording, the captions will be recorded as txt file - we understood that this is an issue and we are going to improve it very soomn
Joann Starks
01:09:03
Yes… Thanks!
Molly Pearl
01:09:46
Are any or all of these accessibility options available on the free version of Zoom, or do you need the Pro version?
Beth Coombs
01:10:19
if you choose the participants button at the bottom of the screen you should be able to view participants
TSBVI Outreach Media
01:12:27
Molly- In my experience, the free and Pro versions uses the same app, so the features are the same. The Pro version gives you more scheduling, hosting options.
Molly Pearl
01:13:06
Thanks TSBVI!
Dan Comden
01:13:13
Andy, your audio is very low
TSBVI Outreach Media
01:16:05
We have good JAWS/NVDA focus in ZOOM, except for Polls pane. None of the questions are read in Poll window, or the Poll Results window.
Andy de Artola
01:16:23
@cgreene this feature is not enabled for the webinar format since it is intended to be a broadcast. In our meetings platform all users can access the participants list.
Beth Coombs
01:16:41
It might be a setting - I will be digging to learn more. a bit overwhelmed learning all at once. Sorry
TSBVI Outreach Media
01:18:15
Would be nice to have some font/color options in CC, especially for low vision users.
TSBVI Outreach Media
01:19:39
We haven’t had any success with 3rd Party REST api. Today’s CC is good, in comparison.
cgreene
01:20:11
@TSBVI if you go into the Zoom Settings pop-up window, you can give feedback to the company there, too. Your suggestion is a good one! (I just gave some feedback on using a slidebar for a click function on the CC text size)
TSBVI Outreach Media
01:22:46
@cgreene - thanks. We have a ticket in with development, just wanted to give a shout out with the ‘father’ of ZOOM access online!
Beth Coombs
01:23:56
I have the chat messages in with the Q and A
CAROLYN DUDAS
01:24:22
Is the chat window part of the recording? If not, how does someone get access to the chat text?
sswmedia University of Washington
01:24:58
In our experience the chat window is not part of the recording.
Suzanne David
01:25:05
For meeting, anyone can save chat as text file
Suzanne David
01:25:43
I can confirm that a text file is being recorded in my computer from CC
robertathomson
01:26:26
Yes, I have saved it - by using ‘Save Closed Caption History’ at the bottom of the expanded CC box.
cgreene
01:26:30
A colleague just signed off this meeting and found the CC text file on his computer. But doesn't know if/where he gave consent to save this to his desktop. THus the inquiry about EULA?
Andrew Downie
01:26:41
I had a major issue with captions. I turned them on out of interest and the captions stopped my screen reader from accessing other controls and it took a lot of effort to turn them off. I also do not like the "Alert" every time a new caption comes in. Unnecessary verbosity.
Suzanne David
01:27:20
I don’t know if maybe I have a setting on my Zoom profile, but I don’t need to actively save. When meeting ends, I get a notification that transcript has been saved.
robertathomson
01:29:48
Thanks for this informative webinar! I have to leave now. Roberta

They'll probably cover this, but one excellent resource if you want to learn to use Zoom is a tutorial from Mosen Consulting: https://mosen.org/zoom/
