Feelings - this is both validating of my experience and disturbing to have it put into words and explored; thank you for thinking all this through and sharing it.
The funding cut was blamed on the Jews complaint.
Jews are inserted in the middle of the issue and end up being blamed for the funding cut both by the legislators and those who suffer from the spending cut.

It makes any valid discussion of BDS that much more complicated.
besides the obvious (which has been stated above) it’s also an example of how israel (& it’s supporters) feed anti-semitism

The state senate blaming the funding cut on Jewish people who spoke out about anti-Semitism discourages Jews (and non-Jews?) from calling out or naming anti-Semitism in the future

The manager equates the negative qualities of white feminism with Jewish women
It is an example of our blind spots about some groups being OK to stereotype
The colleague seems to be buying into common stereotypes about Jews - that Jews are wealthy, powerful, and hold leadership roles
To the point you made earlier about how different Jews can be - no recognition of that at all.
The co-worker also seems to generalize all jewish women to one negative experience which is inherently antisemitic
1. a Jewish woman is used to demonstrate something negative. 2. your colleague insists her prejudice is justified based on the few Jews she knows.
There are wayyyyy more Christian White feminists than Jewish White feminists. Here, a Jewish woman is put in the scapegoat role for all (mostly Christian) White feminists. And the colleague saw that as aligning with the “truth” about Jews
I think this individual epitomizes the underlying stereotypes that most people have. "Based on my personal experience" is probably just a stereotype from TV.
Christian White feminists are not held accountable for the real harm we cause because Jewish women are blamed for our actions
The colleague also seems unable to see that is possible to hold oppressive views toward someone who has an intersectional identity - in this case the narrator in the video has privilege as white, yet can still be subject to Anti-Semitism

It jumps out at me that both the Jewish and Muslim students here are living within Christian hegemony since instead of comparing the school's resources that their faiths get to what Christians get and the ways Christianity is baked into the world, they are comparing the limited resources their two faiths have received
This is complicated - are the school resources really being disproportionately made available, or is there just a feeling or appearance of that; both may or may not be true. WHat is being paid for and by who. AND if there are external resources from teh Jewish community - maybe those could be shared around islamaphobia also.
The jewish students issues are decentered again in leftist spaces while they also agree to take on the work load to help the muslim students. They both are struggling to work around white supremacy but the jewish students concerns are not heard or seen as an issue as much as the muslim students
Jews become focal point for school spending-surely there are many other departments of student life gettting way more resoirces than the Jews--Some of who's programs may be funded by Jewish community not the University. 2. Internalized antisemitism that Jews agree that they are getting an unfair share if school of funding.--Also no discussion of how many Jewish students are being served vs how many muslim students are/are not being served
White Christians are not held accountable for either of these issues (making Jews feel unwelcome in leftists spaces, and limiting resources for Muslim students)

This comment is also internalized and the social worker no longer feels comfortable talking about her identity with clients, which could create client connections
Jews acting out "jewish stereotypes" are hyper-visible
Perhaps the Jewish social worker is embarrassed that an Orthodox individual, who is supposed to be an example for piety, kicked the family out...???
YOu stop telling clients you are Jewish because you expect to be targeted? or fear it will interfere with client's need for safe space? Both internalized antisemitism

(This is a question from earlier when I wasn't able to access the chat box; understood if it's tangential to the current question - ) How do we understand some Jews being "allowed" to rise or gain a certain limited amount of privilege and power? Who is making those decisions? Do we have any record of white Christians deliberately relaxing antisemitic structures in order to better give the impression of Jewish power? Processes like (some) Jews' inclusion within whiteness in the US don't really seem to be captured by the idea of anyone "allowing" Jews to access power.
I think my experience with anti-Jewish Oppression makes me more aware of how other groups can function in similar ways as scapegoats. (For example, it makes me a better ally to Asian friends and coworkers.)
I think the points made earlier about how the left in the past has been deeply crippled by successful anti-semitism is really important to acknowledge - it divides us in ways that harm our effectiveness.
If we don't assume that there is a *deliberate conspiracy* running things and making nefarious decisions, we're more able to confront the structural nature of the systems we're in...! (e.g., capitalism is more than the actions of some nefarious capitalists, Jewish or otherwise)
we could be a more united front working on many issues-if we weren't sidetracked/distracted we could target the actual causes of injustice and work together to find solutions to our real problems.

realizing more about how anti-semitism makes me feel unsafe in anti-oppression space - so i need to work to figure out how to keep myself and my fellow Jews safe, and also more about how to engage actively with the barriers you have been talking about.
continue to pay attention to noticing how and when anti-semitism is functioning and just plain noticing christian hegemony.
work on ~ commit to fighting antisemitism without having a 100% clear and precise analytical understanding of the system in *allll* its historical specificity
