Environment is MY JAM guys. I am so excited about today.

17:09
Thank you for that Leah!

19:10
yes I do!! Just got 1 girl

19:36
ha! I only have 2 girls. I feel you.

33:35
drama center is always a huge hit in my classroom

34:03
supporting communication through (Dramatic center and art center .. writing center)! I am thinking of that

34:14
My environment is separated into learning centers and we rotate what is in them. The biggest parts of the space that work great for my specific kids are that we have a long space between our hallway and the front door that the kids use as a running track, and then we have a soft climber and we allow the kids to climb all over the couch as well, so they have a lot of opportunity for gross motor development

35:27
exactly. So important to allow toddlers to climb and run when they need to.

39:06
We use Phillips HUE LED bulbs and have a huge wall of windows for natural light

42:39
Mirrors in the building center is such a fantastic idea

44:04
Ive wanted mirrors too but was then warned they needed to be shatterproof for earthquake safety- by well meaning neighbor not someone official. I

44:30
m having trouble finding any. Do you think it’s necessary?

44:38
Lakeshore

44:54
they are expensive though

47:14
hahahah my kids would totally notice if the lamps were off but not because of how much light they put off but because they associate it with nap time. hahahaha

47:58
is anyone else having some interference with sound?

48:23
no

48:24
no, I am not

48:31
no

48:33
I have acrylic mirrrors and they work great!

01:00:26
I de-clutter and rotate toys every 2 weeks and by the end of the 2 weeks it is like everything in the space has multiplied

01:01:04
I rotate when i observe a change in the childrens thinking and conversations

01:02:47
I have had a very hard time figuring out what kind of flexible toys to have in a space with one and two year olds.

01:08:01
OMG the chalkboard platform is such a cool idea. I made a quiet box for my kids that is in the nook between our changing table and a shelf and I covered it in contact paper and it has twinkle lights in it and a soft rug and pillow

01:11:10
I know that my little ones are hungry, because they go and sit in their bumbo sits hahaha

01:25:09
Since it is our home, we do have some minimal decorations at adult eye level, but then we also have things that are meaningful to the kids at their eye level.

01:26:15
I´ve noticed that they love simple pictures (2 or 3 colors), of animals with big eyes :)

01:26:34
(infants and toddlers)

01:29:31
Bring in more natural items inside the classroom

01:29:54
Definitely bringing in more natural elements

01:30:02
I love the idea of the calendar using natural things

01:30:13
me too! bringing more natural things

01:44:20
This was so motivating! Thank you Leah!

01:44:41
Thanks Leah!

01:44:43
Thank you !
