Hello Jason
Karen Rowan
23:30
Jody, Are we recording this?
Jody Klopp
26:54
Yes, we are recording. It will be posted on swcolt.org website
Karen Rowan
43:08
Does it have to be a 4 to be accepted?
Lisa Lilley Ritter
43:20
No
Karen Rowan
46:27
45 minutes, though…. even this year they were so short.
Diane Neubauer
47:25
I wondered if the reason for shorter times was so that more presentations could be offered. (Ex: 1 hr down to 45 min for sessions, 20 min. down to 10 min. for research presentations). Is this one of the motives for the change?
Diane Neubauer
48:41
Ok, thanks.
Karen Rowan
48:52
It also means more people will be required to pay ACTFL registration…..
Belinda Dello-Iacovo

Sessions are meant to be interactive and engaging. Could you give some examples of what sort of presentation methods could be good?
Jody Klopp
49:47
Jocelyn will be addressing that during this presentation Belinda
Elicia Cárdenas

So, are symbols considered things like, say, the accent in my last name?
Karen Rowan
57:40
Or registered trademark?
tinahargaden
59:22
Can you describe the meaning of “highly relevant and significant to the field”? This seems vague
tinahargaden
59:42
Also, “well-written” seems vague…is this like “marketing-focused” language?
Karen Rowan
01:01:32
What does ACTFL consider “engagement”? I didn’t see hardly any that had any kind of audience participation.
Karen Rowan
01:04:44
thank you
tinahargaden
01:07:35
Do certain Keywords have a better chance of being selected? Are you looking to fill certain Keywords that you do not get a lot of submissions for?
tinahargaden
01:13:48
Do you see your ranking number after you learn if your proposals are accepted or not?
Karen Rowan
01:13:51
Is there any chance that the schedule at ACTFL next year might accommodate not scheduling all of the session that we are interested in being simultaneous? In one time slot, of the 30 sessions, 7 were scheduled.
Karen Rowan
01:14:01
^^Question for Lisa.
Karen Rowan
01:15:45
We aren’t categorized at this point — like German, for example, sessions, might not be scheduled simultaneously. I’m not sure ACTFL knows what we consider to be CI / TPRS sessions.
Robert Harrell
01:16:40
Thanks very much for this webinar. It was informative and helpful. Sorry that I have to leave.
Karen Rowan
01:16:57
Do we need to be a SIG for that to happen?
Karen Rowan
01:19:17
Good point. Thank you.
Karen Rowan
01:19:39
WOW!
tinahargaden
01:20:14
I had a question above that scrolled out.
tinahargaden
01:20:35
Do people get to see their scores after submitting, just for future
tinahargaden
01:21:04
refinement
tinahargaden
01:21:35
Also I do not see the CI language you are referencing under Standards-Based Instructional Desogn
Karen Rowan
01:24:15
Thank you both for putting this together!
Karen Rowan
01:24:28
How long will it take to post a recording?
Elicia Cárdenas
01:24:31
If you have a handout, do you print it?
Belinda Dello-Iacovo
