@Jane 2012 started out with cool weather which is great for sparkling wine as it leads to higher levels of acidity. A very dry growing season was countered with measured irrigation allowing us to pick our sparkling wines grapes at optimal maturity and acidity.

This a lite colored pinot with a high alcohol content with a light fragment nose and a nice balance of acidity and clean finish. Cleans the pallet and allows the cheese flavors to come through,,, Not a California big robust PN, but more of a Burgundian Pinot!

We had to substitute wines because the Argyle wines were a no show. We used a sparkling from New Mexico and a Elk Cove Pinot and they paired great with all the cheeses. If the Argyle ever shows up we may get more cheese.
