How do nonpublic schools petition for 3rd party providers? Will we have the ability to petition the state and not individual SAUs during this time of crisis?

Commissioner, As we prepare for a fall reopening (hopefully) has the Department planning for an unusually high number of parents refusing to send their children to school? If not, would you begin thinking through this issue. We may need flexibility in counting attendance if we experience unusually high COVID-19 related absences. Thank you, Jim

I apologize for coming in late but I followed up on the DOE release for Special Education Remote Learning Support and was told that “This grant is not for charter schools”. Please clarify why we would not be eligible.

I've only completed part of the internet access survey, however, are there questions in the survey related to staff access to internet/technology/etc.? I have some teachers who don't have the access necessary to provide remote instruction. If not in the survey, how do we/you capture that information?

yes it is the remote learning grant in FY18-19

The special education grant is called the Remote Learning Grant. Lisa Moody sent out guidance to districts on how to access that grant. As Lisa said it is in FY 18-19
