what are the current regulations within should for dealing with sick kids? many actively sick kids are in class and I don't think teachers feel empowered to do anything, including asking student to wear a mask. so, the viruses are ripping through the classes

I have a 3 and 13 yr old that’s not vaccinated and I feel like even if I get them vaccinated they’ll still get Covid because even though I got vaccinated I still got it so I feel like you going to get Covid regardless. Should I get them vaccinated anyways?

why are we not implementing any population level public health measures temporarily, ie masks? there is a community shortage of antibiotics, pediatricians don't have flu tests, and there's no hospital capacity- I don't understand how this is ok? kids are missing so much school.

including just within the district?

We are learning from research that Covid is causing chronic issues and system damage for a lot of people, and that damage increases with every time a person is infected, however I find most people don’t know about this and am concerned about the future health of all our kids and families as this plays out. Why are we not talking about this more?

You’re welcome

Ok thanks

unfortunately one way masking is not working when a third of students in a classroom are actively spewing virus. they have to remove to eat

54:51
very appreciative of ventilation efforts

My children are the only ones in their class wearing masks, and they are still getting sick constantly because there is so much virus. It is not enough to keep them safe if no one else is doing anything. I am very close to pulling them out of school. I think that even if there wasn’t a mask mandate, there’s a lot more that can be done to encourage and model masking.

57:50
I think removing sick kids from class would be a stay

57:52
start

All the parents I call about absences at Huntington are saying the same thing as Annabel. They believe that is the issue

I feel like a lot of parents know they kids are sick and still sending them with no mask
