I still have a question (related to this), how to measure the effectiveness of this street art, empirically? Or is it more related to the topic that is tried to be conveyed? I have read some research that suggests that if the topic is about health, specifically, it is taken more seriously, than say, topic that is related to environment. Would be interesting to research this more.

Would be interesting to see examples of artworks that can convey the message exclusivley in animated/pictorial sense. All examples above and in presentation seem to have text.

A statement rather than a question—I am working on creating an archive of work in the streets that responds to the murder of George Floyd, and I am so interested in the people who chronicle this. I think many of the chroniclers see the work of documenting as a social justice project. It seems that documenting graffiti and murals feels like a way to propel the movement forward and amplify the messages.

Keep it up Peter. Sounds like this work challenges the system at uni and I am sure the framwork, how to present your work will reveal itself to you with time.

Hi Heather No images on the streets but my 19 year old daughter was on lockdown and created a face mask with spray can style logo supporting BLM and donating 33% of mask sales to them!!!

Great video and experiment. So, in this case, were you trying to disrupt the hierarchy established within the graffiti world of graffiti artists chroniclers and researchers?
