Reading Tutor Presentation Book : it was mentioned that we could scan pages and share in a closed school network but what happens legally if a parent downloads and copies ? ( my apologies if this has been addressed already as I have only just ben able to join the webinar )
Sarah Fowler
46:51
Do we need to let you know that we have purchased the texts and which ones?
Freya Purnell
51:38
Hi Sarah, we have a record of which sets of decodable readers schools have purchased, and we will be providing online access to the readers accordingly. This will come out to you in an email when the links are ready.

Will parents be able tp print the pages from Sounds and Words book that you are going to provide? Otherwise the children would need to access 2 devices when participating in a Zoom Lesson or recording themselves to upload on Seesaw?
Sarah Fowler
53:43
Thank you Freya
Kathryn Della-Valle
55:52
Be great if one person could record a lesson and we could share rather than thousands of us all recording the same lesson.
bsimmons
56:19
yes I agree Kathryn!
Brooke
56:52
Agreed Kathryn! Our colleagues all feel this way
Nic
57:17
A great idea Kathryn!

Absolutely

Agree Kathryn

think the pre recorded lessons would work as they are required to be delivered the same way. We already have so many new things to be uploading - not sure if Multilit could really step up and offer this it would be so valuabe at this time
bsimmons
58:39
See if Justine Clarke could record for Multilit??
Brooke
58:51
Agreed
Freya Purnell
59:18
Hi Bernadette - which program are you using?
Brooke
01:00:30
The videos could be uploaded to your webage and students can log in to join where they are up to..
Kate Tuite
01:00:38
Agreed. I've had success redesigning the lessons into a powerpoint, but this would cut the workload and allow us to support class teachers in this time. I understand every school is different, but if we're supposed to stick to a script then I don't see this being too much of a problem. It would at least be a good option to have, then if it wasn't fit for your school - then you could do your own...

01:00:40
Do you think volunteer tutors might be able to do Reading tutor from home?
Sarah O'Brien
01:00:40
can we video ourselves using the cards
Sarah O'Brien
01:00:47
to upload on a close circuit
Sarah O'Brien
01:00:57
or referring to the posters
Nic
01:01:02
Could you record the lessons, but break each recording into the different activities so that everyone could choose which activities they need to use.
Jo.Hurst
01:01:14
so many good ideas

Brooke
01:01:31
Teachers are clearly calling for pre-recorded lessons!
Jo.Hurst
01:02:06
so many students dont have a device they can use for themselves - sharing across a family.
mharsas
01:02:31
Yes pre-recorded lessons would be extremely helpful
Brooke
01:02:39
Pre-recorded lessons would help small multi-stage schools so much - we are a two class school and we are trying to run initaLit K, 1 & 2 ... pre-recorded lessons would help us immensly
Sarah Fowler
01:02:46
Essentially, some of your main recommendations are to reduce the size of your groups and slow the pacing down. Is that right?
Sarah O'Brien
01:03:13
are we able to video ourselves using flashcards
Sarah O'Brien
01:03:14

If we haven’t started using multilit is it a good idea to start now or is it too hard to administer as a new program?
Sarah Fava
01:03:40
I missed the start. Are we still attempting a 4-5 day delivery?
Freya Purnell
01:03:42
Yes, we are planning to have the Readers and Presentation Books/Sounds and Words available online by early next week. You will receive an email with your access details.
Kate Tuite
01:04:21
how many days do we need to run the program for it to have a meaningful impact?
Sarah Fava
01:04:44
What would you suggest for frequency of delivery then? MiniLit and MacqLIt
girgolan
01:04:57
Can 1 part of the MacqLit student activtiy book be photocopied and sent with students? I'm not keen on sending their whole book home with the students.

Thank you Alison. We don't want our kids to fall further behind. I'm looking forward to the suggested texts for older students. Do you like the TAP series?
