Question: Is it mandatory to have partners from two different EU countries (cross-border dimension) ?
Jan Reimann (IWU)
28:02
no, this is not mandatory, you even can act as a single-company project
Paulo Marques (IPCB-Portugal)
28:22
Question: Can non-industrial legal entities (e.g. Universities) be founded by Trinity ?
Jan Reimann (IWU)
30:25
yes they can get funding, but SME must be leading the consortium
TUC Kirchner
30:38
Is the funding rate for research institute also 70% like for companies?
Salla, Tampere University
32:35
The funding rate 70% is the same for everyone
jeroen.vancraen
32:54
Question: To what extend does it need to be for manufacturing companies? I have a company that creates autonomous robots for agriculture. They want to improve the navigation system of their autonomous robots (their end product). So it's not strictly under the banner agile production. Is this still acceptable?
Jan Reimann (IWU)
35:50
in General: if the results can be transferred to production easily that might be acceptable. it depends on the Project description (proposal) and how it will be evaluatedon the previous slide you see the Project AgroboFood, I think that is more suitable for agricultural Projects.
TUC Kirchner
36:12
It is said, that the maximum funding is 300k€. Does that mean the maximum project volume is about 428k€?
Jan Reimann (IWU)
36:28
yes
Salla, Tampere University
37:53
The maximun budget can be more than 428k€ but 300k€ is the maximun funding we can distribute
jeroen.vancraen
38:54
It sais "Novel (for applicant)" We have a question from a company that wants to implement a new cybersecurity system. For the integrator this is a standard project (although it is customized for every client). Is this then a project that would be applicable for funding?
Juhani Lempiäinen
39:27
Naturally in the proposal there is a robot provider as a subsupplier to the system to be developed.. How do you want the robot provider in the budget, as a subsupplier to the main partner or seprarate partner?
Gianfranco Modoni
42:43
Can the technology provider be the leader of the consortium?
Tom Collins - PulseLabs
42:51
I’ve already asked on F6S, are three partners the confirmed max members in the consortium?
Salla, Tampere University
44:13
Yes, Maximum is 3 partners
sabrina
45:59
Does the rule of 3 different countries apply to the consortia?
Minna Lanz
46:06
no
Minna Lanz
46:24
all can be from same country
Minna Lanz
46:33
or a single company can apply
Pedro
48:39
How much time do you think is needed to prepare the proposal?
Ulrich Seldeslachts
49:25
to Jeroen : it will depend on the level of innovativeness, and impact on the agility of production. not network security limited to standard firewall implementations. adding existing security in a novel way, yes : eg AES into robotics communication
Minna Lanz
50:55
Pedro: if the vision exists, and the company know how to start, then writing the proposal shouldn’t be hard. The proposal text should be less than 10 pages total
Minna Lanz
51:19
if you check the proposal template, then you can see how much text is needed
Pedro
57:07
Is there a maximum number of proposals to be funded?
Salla, Tampere University
01:01:25
We have budgeted 4m€ for this call. There is no maximun numbers of the proposals to be funded.
Minna Lanz
01:04:37
Juhani: we will do contract with the lead partner, others need to be listed, they are like suppliers for the lead SME
Minna Lanz
01:05:20
Lead SME then directs the part of the funding to partners mentioned in the plan
Mathias Sæterbø
01:06:13
Question: Forwarding a question from a company:What is the trl (Technology readiness Level) of the end result ? Should it be basic tehcnology or technology ready for testing/launch.

Just a quick question, regarding IP etc as, at the end we would need to do some promotion and demonstration of what was built through the grant: does that mean we also need to make the technology developed open sourced?Just double checking :)

Jan Reimann (IWU)
01:09:34
@Yann: the IP is and stays yours - it is up to you to publish it as open source - we only want the described Dissemination material
Minna Lanz
